23rd December 2020 Windsurfing: Llanfairfechan Wind Direction: NE Wind Stength: F6/F7 Surf / Sea State: Surf Air Temperature: 6 Sea Temperature: 9.3 Weather: Drizzle Max Speed: Distance Covered: Looked awful with low cloud, drizzle and half a mile visibility, but with my glass half-full eyes saw only good wind and surf. Very short tide so at lows sandbanks were throwing up waist and some shoulder waves which I backside rode (best off the point). Felt cold rigging but once sailing was fine. Wind picked up and missed some gybes outside as wind too strong. Always nice to end on a high with good gybe outside in strong wind and good wave rides in. Got even windier, and wetter as I packed up after hour+, so pleased I got that right too. Last time I sailed in similar conditions was on 78l single fin, and interesting to see multifin is easier. |
